Not to say that this place is amazing on all fronts would be an insult!
Kiré, name for "lizard" in the local Talamanca Bri-bri language (hence the restaurant's logo), is located near the entrance of Cocles beach in Puerto Viejo. It is a Grill, Bar & Restaurant run by authentic Argentinians; with very kind and forgiving hearts, I must add! ;)

First off, there's no chance you'll miss this place's entrance as fire torches light up the entrance to a rock path that leads to a wooden built that hosts the restaurant and bar area. The inside is well lit for a nice dinner, spacious for using a walking aid inside and, inviting, guaranteeing of delivering an excellent experience altogether.

Inside the restaurant, you'll find about 6 tables accommodating about 4 people each, a bar area where you can see Sebas (one of the two people who run the place) prepare the pizza crust of their delicious locally-made pizza slices, and even a sitting area for children with colored plastic chairs and a small table.

Being an Argentinian restaurant you would think pizza and this place don't match; you are absolutely mistaken. Kiré has arguably the best pizza in all of Puerto Viejo, which can be bought in slices or as whole pies. The red pepper oil and grated cheese that accompany it further enhance the flavor of an already delicious fast food.

Kire offers a display near the bar area with other great on-the-go snacks besides pizza at very affordable prices: cheese and spinach "empanadas" are a highlight here.

The courses are hefty in quantity and quality: a person with a big appetite would be thoroughly satisfied with the serving sizes of Kire, as many courses are accompanied by delicious french fries and juicy salads. The Milanesas are to die for, trust me! (Pictured above)

If you are in the mood for a place with a friendly, family oriented atmosphere, kind-hearted personnel, and amazing food and drink, Kire is one spot you cannot miss!
