Oblivion

Through many ways we seek peace

yet, it seems not that our lives are on a lease
Idle we have to be to be at ease
not wanting social status, Providence or a kiss

What is real for some for others is not
If they are all the same, why are we in a knot?
Is it life not a melting pot?
Creeds and rites are all sought
yet we forget them an awful lot

Religion often creates war
or ways to create a scar
but why can't we all see the star
that would bring us closer to par

Isms are many
but do we actually practice any?
